Boob Nursing Wear Review and Giveaway

You may remember I reviewed Boob's Maternity wear awhile back. They recently contacted me and asked if I would be willing to review their nursing wear as part of Breastfeeding Awareness Month - which is this month - August!

Boob sent me two great pieces to try. I received the dress above in gray print and the tank shown below in black.
I'm very proud that I was able to breastfeed Bo for his entire first year. My little guy never had a drop of formula. I hope to breastfeed the twins exclusively as well -- but I know it will be much more time consuming and difficult -- especially with my Bobo running around! That said, I plan to give it my best effort and cute, stylish clothes like these definitely increase my motivation!

Both pieces have the hidden flap that keep your tummy covered but allow you to breastfeed (I hate showing my stomach when I'm nursing! It looks bad enough after pregnancy as it is...) And if you've ever tried to breastfeed wearing a dress, you know that it can be quite challenging unless the dress is cut appropriately.

While I've wondered if I should wait until the end of August (the girls may be here by then!) to review this so I can have pictures of myself in these outfits, one thing that was pointed out to me is that these items do have a lot of stretch. While my stomach is quite large, I am able to fit into both of these pieces now -- albeit, I still do not want to post pictures of myself in them at this point!! Considering my belly is already measuring over 40 weeks, I think I'm allowed!

That said, both of these pieces could be worn during pregnancy and then carry over into nursing. This is something to keep in mind if your budget is tight -- as these pieces are expensive. However, the quality of their products makes it a worthwhile investment.

In honor of breastfeeding awareness month, Boob has graciously offered to giveaway one of the dresses shown above ($155 value!) to one lucky winner! Just comment on this post telling me what size you would like and why breastfeeding is important to you. (BTW: The dress is cute enough to wear even after you finish breastfeeding!).

For Additional Entries:
Winner will be selected via Random.org on August 30!

Congratulations to the winner of the Head Snuggler giveaway - Carrie27.

I think I'd need a large. (I had trouble finding a size chart.) Breastfeeding is important to me for so many reasons. The nutrition, the closeness, the quiet moments spent with my child. I'm looking forward to breastfeeding the baby I'm expecting now and cherish my memories of nursing my son.

I'd say I'd be a medium (although that might be wishful thinking). Breast feeding is important to me because it is the healthiest thing for me and my baby. Breast feeding gives my baby the skin2skin contact he/she needs as well as the best nutritional start possible. Like you, I was proud to nurse Olivia for the first year of her life and I can't wait to start nursing again (any day now).
Lucky you for getting the free swag, that dress is gorgeous!

I couldn't find a size chart either. Large I guess?

All of the data I've seen indicate that breastfeeding is nothing but beneficial. Especially with twins who may be premature, I want to give the babies all of the biological advantages possible.

I would love to win the dress in M. I love nursing because of the bonding with my baby and for the added benefit to my baby's immune system.

I did not see a size chart but I'd be safe with a Large. Breastfeeding helps build my little ones immune system.

This is great - I've never heard of them before but I am glad I did now. :) Breastfeeding is important for so many reasons but why its important to me is I have seen several infants have digestional issues and all of them with those problems have been formula fed. I have to believe there is a connection in that.
I would need a small.

i think i would need a medium. Breastfeeding is important to me as I share such a special bond with my son when he feeds. I love the bond it gives us, as well as gives him the best nutrition I can.

This would be AMAZING! I have a 2 week old baby girl and want to breastfeed her for as long as possible. It is healthier and cheaper! I'd need a medium

Medium, I'd think (couldn't find if there was anything special about sizing on their site).
I am preggo & planning on nursing. From health benefits, to budgeting perks, and just plain selfish desire for some special one-on-one mommy time, nursing is the way to go for me.
Thank you!

I would take it in size large. There are so many things that are important to me regarding breastfeeding but I think if I had to pick just one it would have to be the incredible bonding experience between you and your child

I have an 11 month old son and he has been exclusively breastfeed since he was born. I work full time outside of the home so I have to pump twice a day at work. At times it is challenging to stop what I am doing and pull out the pump. Whenever I think I may too busy to stop, I just think about my son's cute little face looking up at me and smiling. The innocent, loving look he gives me always makes my heart break. I plan to continue to nurse him for as long as my milk supply allows.

I think a xl would fit me the best since I have grown two cups sizes since I've been nursing.

Thanks to my two pregnancies in two years... I'd need a larger size. I'm about a 14 in tops and dresses these days. Need to diet!

Breastfeeding is important to me because my kids were both small at birth, and I feel breast milk helped my son and now my daughter make up for that small size. My son gained weight nicely while nursing and now my daughter is doing the same!

I would probably need a small, hard to decide since I am still pregnant now.

I like breastfeeding not only because it is cheap and convenient (always with you wherever you go) but because it is not a constant solution like formula and adapts to the baby's changing size and needs.

Breastfeeding is very important to me...I feel like it is the best that I can offer my baby. It is important that my babies get the best. I also love the fact that I give my babies so many antibodies to help keep them well. I could go on and on all day about the benefits about breastfeeding!

Thanks for the chance to win!

I'm happy to say I have successfully breast fed my baby her whole life- all 8 months of it! It's amazing- a bonding experience like no other, and (with the right outfit) very convenient.

I love the dress- I'd like a size small.

I'd love to have a dress in a size medium. Breatfeeding is so wonderful for so many reasons...bonding with baby, health of baby, and best of all it's FREE! I look forward to starting this process with my newborn (being induced this FRIDAY!)

I think I'd get a large. I love nursing my daughter because I definitely think it has helped us bond and it's so easy. (I bottle fed twins and that was not as easy obviously).

I would need a medium.

Breastfeeding is one of the most important aspects of parenting, to me. I'm currently nursing my 3.5 year old, my 15 month old, and I'm pregnant with #3. I never thought I'd be nursing this long, but I can truly see how important it is in a child's life and how much they benefit from it, and therefore it's an absolute priority for me.

I think I would need a medium. Breastfeeding is important to me because it's so much healthier for the child AND it saves a ton of money!

I nursed my first for 6 months and my second for 13 months. I'm hoping to go at least a year with this next one :-)

That dress is so adorable!!! And I would actually wear it because it's not a cross over style (which are totally indecent on me! ;)
I think I would need a large... possibly an XL ...again, couldn't find a size chart.
Breastfeeding is soo soo important to me! It promotes bonding and is just so completely healthy for the baby. No matter what they say formula doesn't compare. (and I do have friends who for medical reasons couldn't nurse so I'm not all militant on it)

I also had trouble find a size chart, and would probably need a med!

So cute! Wish I could have found a size chart since I don't know if I should go with Medium or Small...I guess I will just go with Medium (rather be too big than too small)!
